Target Football Supporters Including us at Celtic but Orange Order’s Ok ?????

At the end of a fairly historic week in Scottish politics the Scottish Government in their infinite wisdom have rushed through a bill to tackle “Scotland’s Problem” of “Sectarian, Religious and Race Hate” issues at football matches. The sanctions for which if people are found guilty of such “offences” within football stadiums or now indeed even in pubs watching matches means they can be issued with on the spot fines or arrested and after a judicial period could even be given a jail sentance of up to five years. This has been greeted by the politicians involved as the way forward to rid Scotland of religious bigots and sectarianism at football matches and in society in general….

Now all of the above seems to people on the outside of our “Great Wee Country with One Nation For All” as a government working hard to rid society of some “evils” that have gone on for century’s and most of these observers believe this to be a real step forward !!!!!!!!!

So with all this in mind let me now ask the Scottish Goverment and Local Authorities as to WHY? after such a historic week I am then today ”Subjected to an Orange Order Parade through Glasgow City Centre” . Yes it’s Saturday morning in Glasgow City Centre and we have around twenty orange order bands and thousands of followers maurading through our streets subjecting us to “Bigoted Abuse” by playing many “Anti-Catholic” tunes ??????……

It now seems as if this group have the right to march the streets of Scotland whenever they like and for whatever reason they like….If it’s a parade to celebrate the 12th of July then that is their annual celebration of the murder of many catholics which must surely now come under the new laws of Sectarian,Bigoted and Religious hate or abuse ? If it is a parade to celebrate a royal birthday when again because of the “sovereign rights” it’s law that no catholic can be a part of the royal family once again surely that is now a Sectarian, Bigoted and Religious Predudice..????

Two questions here now….Firstly …Just who in the Scottish Government or Local Authorties are sanctioning these parades ?????…and Secondly…Will they now be banned as they’re both Sectarian, Bigoted and most certainly filled with Religious Hate against Catholics ??????

Don’t hold you breath on any answers from the authorities soon though as there’s not another election due for years and they can treat us with the usual contempt !!!!!!!!

Hail Hail …. The FRP ……. 18th June 2011

Another Sunday afternoon in Paradise for The Faithful as Lenny’s Bhoys continued on from their performance at The Bigotdome in the Scottish Cup but this time went one better and gave the MankyMob an absolute hiding.

Pre-match talk amongst the Laptop Loyal and indeed us, The Faithful, was all about what formation The Hoops would start with and once again Celtic Manager Neil Lennon proved himself to be the tatical master whilst The Loyal Cardigan and Super Sally simply looked devoid of ideas.

Before the match Celtic Football Club paid tribute to young Blantyre Bhoy Reamonn Gormley by playing the Video Tribute of the children from The Good Child Foundation in Thailand singing I Just Can’t Get Enough which includes their own tribute to Reamonn by saying he will be looking down on us all from heaven.

Interestingly a line in the song the Thai Khids sing says “When we go to Ibrox there’s nothing there to fear” but today that was changed to Paradise as The Bhoys showed there is nothing to fear with a visit from The Govan Mob as we sent their Loyal Support Home Nice and Early !!!!!!!….

I am sure Reamonn would be looking down on Paradise today from his own seat in The Eternal Paradise with that Fabulous Smile of his that touched peoples hearts throughout the world…..God Bless You & Rest In Peace…

Hail Hail ….. The FRP ….. 20th Feb 2011

The Bhoys went to Castle Greyskull today as underdogs in most people eyes especially those of the Laptop Loyal who have continually reminded everyone they could at every moment they could that “Neil Lennon has failed as Celtic Manager in all the big games”……..Well guess what chaps Lenny with the full support of The Bhoys on the pitch has just put that statistic well and truly to rest with Big Sammy’s two goals putting Scotland’s Shame well and truly to the sword and increasing our lead at the Top of the SPL!!!!

Unlike all the previous “Old Firm” games in the past few season the man in the middle had an “honest match” free from any “honest mistakes” and guess what ?…..The Hoops went on to win the match very comfortably. If anything his only actual mistake was that in awarding us the stonewall penalty he chose not to book Bougherra for the foul as that would have been his second booking….Still it’s better to hammer 11 men instead of 10 !!!!!!!!!

A word also on The Celtic Faithful who were fantastic in their support of The Bhoys all day right from firstly observing the minutes silence impeccably, must to the disgust of the laptop loyal, to singing at Scotlands Shame with a full ten minutes to “Go Home Ya Huns” as they crept out of Castle Greyskull and into the surrounding Govan streets looking for somewhere to hide….

Now I think it’s time for a wee singsong……

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells jingle all the way oh what fun it is to beat the gers on New Years day……or….We’re On The Top of the League looking down on the R*****S…..or…We Shall Not…We Shall Not Be Moved!!!!!!

Celtic To Travel To Govan Despite Safety Concerns…

After days of speculation and real concerns that the New Years Derby Match might not go ahead due to water damage and the subsequent finding of asbestos in the Main Stand and other parts of Ibrox Stadium during the remedial work Strathclyde Police finally gave permission for the game to go ahead after a late afternoon(Wed 30th) inspection visit to Ibrox.

Following the damage at Ibrox from the recent thaw and burst pipes which caused the postponement of an SPL match the plumbers trying to repair the pipes combined with electricians doing some re-wiring then found asbestos in the old building which quite obviously would offer a real health hazard to both supporters and players on Sunday but after todays visit the game gets the go ahead. Lets all hope the stadium is safe to visit for all concerned.

Hail Hail !!!!!!

The Bhoys Come Out Of Cold Storage Tonight…

Celtic will entertain Killie tonight in the re-arranged SPL match with the opportunity to go “Top Of The League Looking Down On The R*****s” by simply winning the match which in fairness won’t be that easy as Killie are a team in form whilst we have squandered winning leads in our last two home SPL games.

Another factor to be taken into consideration is that we may be “a bit ring rusty” with not having played any competitive matches since our drawn home match with Inverness at the end of November whilst Killie have had a confidence inspiring home win against Hibs just last Saturday.

In saying all that if we can play to our full potential, and that especially includes our defence, then I see no reason why The Bhoys can’t win the match and climb back to the Top Of The SPL again and then hopefully this time stay there.

A footnote to tonights game that I must mention is the fact that the Match Is actually ON at all !!!!!!!……I say this because I wrote an article here on Thursday 9th December when the original match was called off on police advice due to “safety concerns for the spectators”, and that was a game that was due to be played at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, at which point I said I fully supported that call, even though there was a “thaw” forecast, as I thought it would be difficult for supporters travelling and parking cars……..

Now here we are in similar conditions but with the match kicking off this time at 7.45pm and the game is ON!!!!!!! …..I can’t quite fathom this one out as the temperature is going to plummet as the night wears on, at present as I write this it’s -9 just 4 miles from Paradise, and the inconvenience to the supporters travelling to and from Paradise will be immense.

Indeed what about The Faithful?….has anyone in authority given any consideration at all to supporters clubs trying to travel from places like Aberdeen, Nottingham or even from Ireland?….I don’t think they have and in doing so have “cost” the travelling support another match out of their season book allocation!!!!!!!!!

In saying all that let’s all hope Lenny & The Bhoys get it right tonight and take us back to our rightful spot at the Top Of The SPL……

Hail Hail ……. The FRP ….. Tuesday 21st Dec

The Hoops Look To Be Out Of Action Again This Weekend

Hamilton Accies have called for a pitch inspection at New Douglas Park on Saturday morning at 7.45 to see if lunchtime Live Sky match can go ahead.

The information I have tonight is that it’s not the heavy frost forecast overnight that is the main problem but rather that a “burst pipe in the undersoil heating system has caused some flooding and therefore freezing of the ground that the groundstaff didn’t know about”. Once the groundstaff found this burst it was already too late as parts of the park had now frozen. With all this said the game has a “Less Than 50/50 Chance of going ahead”

Another case of us the supporters being inconvenienced once again with many Celtic Supporters Clubs having already booked buses to leave places like Aberdeen at 7am to make the match. Surely once the Hamilton groundstaff found out about this cock-up a decision on the game being on should have been taken there and then…..Or maybe this is Sky TV calling the tunes here and not the SPL ?

Hail Hail …. The FRP …… Friday 17th Dec.
